Veils

Wearing a veil on your wedding day in Roman times was said to help protect the bride from evil spirits. These days they complement the 'white wedding' look perfectly and often a bride feels her outfit is complete when she wears one.

All the veils at Nieve Couture are individually handmade on the premises with the best quality British-made fabric whenever possible. Swarovski crystals are used to produce a stunning finish which will capture the light as well as your imagination when you see them. The veil designs at Nieve Couture are constantly being worked on by their most experienced and skilled staff.

Tiaras

Another wedding outfit staple, a delicate tiara can help keep a veil in place, add interest to the outfit and is often decorated with similar beads and jewels found on the bride's dress. Bridesmaids traditionally wear a small tiara too.

Each tiara is individually made by skilled ladies in Nieve Couture's workrooms at Ely, Cambridgeshire. All the designs can be made with gold or silver wire and base. Tiaras can include crystals, pearls, feathers - or a combination of all three!

Petticoats

Often the first thing people will notice about your wedding dress is the shape: A-line or fishtail, full skirt, column or empire-line. In order to achieve and maintain the desired shape throughout your wedding day, a petticoat is used. These can be quite stiff or made from more gentle fabric.

Wearing a petticoat can give the illusion of a smaller waist and balance a large bust. Petticoats are made from lace or net, some are lined with ribbon and often include a hoop for extra comfort when wearing.
